This year’s edition of “Złota Tarka” Festival will be held on 11-13 August in Iława, traditionally on the stage of the amphitheatre named after Louis Armstrong, legendary American trumpet player and jazz singer. During the festival, Polish jazz vocal stars and world famous musicians will perform. The programme abounds in the most interesting compositions and extraordinary artists. As in previous years, it will also include artistic performances using the most modern technical means.

This year, jazz lovers will be able to listen to concerts of such stars as Adam Makowicz - jazz legend, master of improvisation, outstanding pianist, Przemysław Dyakowski - legend of traditional jazz, icon of the jazz scene and master of the saxophone, Wiesław Pieregorólka, who cooperated, i.a. with Wojciech Karolak, Tomasz Szukalski or Tomasz Stańko, the Alchemik Orchestra, led by Grzech Piotrowski, the only swinging string orchestra in Poland, Nana Carling - an excellent multi-instrumentalist and many others.

As every year, the artists will compete for the Złota Tarka (Golden Washboard) award, which aims to, inter alia promote the work of bands and soloists practicing different varieties of traditional jazz, activate jazz creative environments, confront the achievements of musicians from various environments and inspire a creative approach. Three soloists qualified for the final of the competition - Michał Pijewski, Karolina Micor and Anna Nowik and two bands - South Silesian Brass Band and Jazz Dreamers.

The festival will begin on August 11 with the New Orleans Parade with the participation of the traditional jazz band The Warsaw Dixielanders, which will pass through the streets of Iława.
