Joao Bras Jorge on the UNGC Network Poland Programme Board
João Bras Jorge Chairman of the Management Board of Bank Millennium, joined the UN Global Compact Network Poland Programme Board. The Board develops key areas of UN GCNP activities aimed at ensuring effective support of business in attaining UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- I am proud to accept the invitation to become a member of the UN Global Compact Network Poland Programme Council. We are at a moment in history where we understand the importance of concrete and decisive action in the area of sustainable development. As signatories of the UN Sustainable Development Goals declaration, we have been operating in accordance with all 17 goals for years. That is why we want to share our experience related to their implementation, as well as draw the best practices from others. I believe that this will translate into real value for our future and that of our children– said Joao Bras Jorge, Chairman of the Management Board of Bank Millennium.
The UN GCNP Programme Board consists of high-class specialists and high-level managers representing companies associated in the UN Global Compact, operating in at least one programme in the field of: human rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption. Their substantive support is an important contribution to the activities undertaken by UNGC to build a conscious and sustainable society and economy as well as a climate friendly to man and the Earth.
