― For seven years now we have been unceasingly supporting Sacrum Profanum and every year we are extremely impressed by the programme and the very high artistic quality of the festival. Sacrum Profanum is characterised by a selection of unique repertoire and artistic diversity, which is the key to reaching a diversified audience. Diversity is important for Bank Millennium because we are a signatory of the Diversity Charter ― Iwona Jarzębska, Director of Public Relations Department of Bank Millennium.
― The Sacrum Profanum festival is an international project, which has gained the status of one of the most interesting music events of Europe. It presents latest music, has many loyal fans, people who love contemporary music and its experiments. We are glad that Bank Millennium supports this event, that – thanks to mutual understanding and commitment – we have created such a cooperation formula, which allows us to attain artistic and marketing aims together. This is one of the best examples of spot-on partnership of culture and business on the Polish market ― Magdalena Łukasik, Deputy Marketing Director of Kraków Festival Office, said.
This year the Sacrum Profanum festival has been enriched to include motifs connected with the independence centenary. The true jewel in the crown will be the world premiere of Ahat ilī ― sister of gods with the libretto by Olga Tokarczuk. Beside the main programme there will also be concerts for children as well as thematic discussions as part of accompanying events. This year’s programme also features concerts, which make reference to the 100 years of Poland’s independence. The anniversary will be celebrated by independent music.
