It is a confirmation for us that the assumptions of responsible management that we have adopted as part of the bank's strategy are consistently implemented, as well as noticed and appreciated by market experts. We congratulate the leaders of the ranking and assure you that sustainability initiatives in Bank Millennium have the highest position on the agenda of our priorities – says Magdalena Trzynadlowska, Director of the Sustainability Office at Bank Millennium.

Bank Millennium ranked sixth in the general classification, where it advanced by two positions compared to the last year’s results. In the banking, financial and insurance sector category, the Bank took fifth place, similar to the last year.

The Bank is intensively developing its product offer, which supports sustainability. These are initiatives covering financing of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient projects, including projects related to the replacement of coal-fired energy with low-emission energy sources. It inspires employees to pro-ecological behaviour on a daily basis, as well as to participation in eco-volunteering as part of the latest Our People ’23 – Save The Planet campaign. An important milestone in the implementation of Bank Millennium's ESG strategy was, among others, the reduction of own greenhouse gas emissions by over 50% vs 2020. Furthermore, the Bank supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals and is a signatory of the Diversity Charter. And these are just some of the actions taken.

ESG issues constitute one of the pillars of the Bank Millennium’s business strategy and are implemented in the company’s day-to-day activity. In 2022, the Bank adopted “ESG Strategy of Bank Millennium Group for 2022-2024” which is a development and specification of environmental, social and corporate governance objectives presented in the Strategy for 2022 - 2024 "Millennium 2024: Inspired by People". Activities within the adopted ESG strategy involve three main groups of stakeholders: customers, employees and society.

Ranking of Responsible Companies is an annual initiative, based on the sustainability results presented by companies. General strategic information covering selected activities in the areas of environmental protection and society, as well as in the field of corporate governance is evaluated. The partners of the Ranking of Responsible Companies 2023 are the Responsible Business Forum and Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, and the expert partner is Deloitte.
