Bet on safety with Bank Millennium

Bank Millennium has made available in its mobile app a new, expanded educational section with safety rules. Customers can broaden their knowledge and strengthen their sensitivity to the methods used by cybercriminals in a simple and accessible way.

The problem of cybercrime is growing, hence not only the stepped-up educational campaigns of the entire sector, but also of individual financial institutions aimed at strengthening the cyber resilience of customers. Bank Millennium decided to rebuild the security section in its mobile app. This is an action that is to strengthen a number of other activities undertaken in the field of cyber threats. An expanded section with security rules contains educational content that easily introduces good practices and scenarios of the most popular scams: phishing, vishing, BLIK code fraud, fake investments, identity theft, etc. Customers can also quickly review the capabilities of the smart banking application that increase security: management of daily limits, temporary card blocking, biometric authorization.

-The design of the new security section was created as a continuation of the changes related to the revamping of the mobile app. We wanted not only to improve the tools that customers use most often, but also to strengthen their vigilance against the actions taken by cybercriminals. In the new educational section, customers will find basic information in an orderly and intuitive form, and in addition, they will quickly find security-related functions there, e.g. they can block a card or contact the hotline - said Halina Karpińska, Member of the Management Board at Bank Millennium.

The new section is accessible from the bottom menu of the mobile app, after touching the "More" button and selecting the safety policy option. A clear page with individual topics then appears on the smartphone screen: suspicious investments, identity theft, secure card, phone from the "bank", safe BLIK, online shopping, phishing, protect your passwords, phone and application. At the top of the section, there are two tiles that easily allow customers to contact a consultant or block a card. The solution is user-friendly and intuitive, and will be developed in the future.
