Almost 80 videos in the Bank Millennium competition on YouTube

2 weeks from the start of the non-standard promotion of the Bank Millennium Internet Account on YouTube, the competition website was visited by over 238 000 people. The competition prizes are worth over PLN 180 000 and include a BMW series 1 Coupé as well as 4 cash prizes.

This is the first advertising action in Poland to make such bold use of the entire potential of YouTube, also as a competition platform. Bank Millennium was the first to decide to treat its TV advertising campaign, promoting the new Internet Account, as a pretext to launch a dialogue with YouTube users. The competition channel is extremely popular - this month it has already become one of the most often subscribed YouTube sponsored channel globally and the third in the history of YouTube ever - says Adam Kwaśniewski, Head of Display & Agencies Google/YouTube.
So far almost 80 videos have been submitted, however the competition remains open till 6 June. A competition work, promoting the Bank Millennium Internet Account should be posted via an account created in YouTube at www.youtube.com/180tysiecy.
On 8 June 2010 the competition jury will gather, including experts in directing, marketing and advertising. They will include Michał Bulik - director, Grzegorz Kiszluk - chief editor of Brief, Tomasz Wygnański - editor in Media&Marketing Polska to mention a few. From the submitted videos the jury will select 15 finalists, which will be put up for online voting between 10 and 20 June. On 22 June 2010 the winners of the competition will be announced, including the person to get the luxury BMW series 1 Coupé.
