During the 97th Academy Awards ceremony, statuettes were awarded in 23 categories. One of them went to the creators of the film "No Other Land", which was hailed as the best documentary feature film.

- Congratulations to the filmmakers on winning the Oscar®. This is a unique event for the festival and for Bank Millennium. Our cooperation has been going on continuously for 20 years. During this time, we have observed together how the world is changing, touched on important and difficult topics, and awarded the best films. Millennium Docs Against Gravity has been constantly developing, gaining in importance, and in 2024 it was on the list of festivals qualifying for the Oscar® in the Best Documentary Feature Film category. Thanks to this, the Grand Prix – Bank Millennium Award, awarded during the festival, is gaining even more importance and from 2025 opens the way to the most important awards in the world of film. It is a pride and joy for us to be able to accompany the festival – says Iwona Jarzębska, Directress of the Public Relations Department at Bank Millennium.

- We are very happy that the film, which won the Grand Prix - Bank Millennium Award during the 21st edition of our festival, received an Oscar® in the Best Documentary Feature Film category. "No Other Land" reminds us, as well as the moving speech of the creators at the gala, that we must stop treating the call for peace as a political or radical message. Human rights are the foundation of democracy and of every society and community. Congratulations also to all the other nominees. The Polish audience was the first to see all of them during MDAG. This proves the importance of our festival on the international arena, which has been further increased by adding Millennium Docs Against Gravity to the prestigious list of festivals qualifying for the Oscar® in the Best Documentary Feature Film category - says Karol Piekarczyk, Artistic Director of the Millennium Docs Against Gravity Festival.
