Update the browserThe first part of Bank Millennium's largest sports and volunteering initiative was a great success. The sporting goal was achieved. Bank Millennium will allocate PLN 250,000 for the promotion and implementation of eco-initiatives carried out by Bank Millennium Foundation volunteers this year.
Through sports activities, for 3 months employees have been collecting points for eco-initiatives, which will soon be carried out by the Foundation's volunteers. The Our People'24: Save the Planet! action lasted three months and ended on 26 July this year. Exactly 1433 employees competed for a noble cause individually and in teams. Participants of the sports campaign burned a total of 31 million calories, recorded over 18 thousand exercises, covered over 214 thousand kilometres on their feet, and over 317 thousand kilometres on wheels. The points scored were converted into zlotys. Progress could be tracked on an ongoing basis in the section of the Activy application intended for employees. Thanks to the points collected, Bank Millennium donated PLN 250,000 to the Bank Millennium Foundation for the implementation and promotion of eco-volunteering.
- In the sports part of the Our People'24: Save the Planet campaign, 1433 participants were involved, 126 teams took part, in our opinion this is an extraordinary attendance success. Our People is a unique initiative that brings a lot of positive values to the professional life of the Bank's employees. It engages employees from different cities of our organisation and allows us to create one big Millennium team. The challenge is also an opportunity to establish cooperation between employees and enjoy healthy competition. Joint commitment to physical activity unites us in a noble goal, which we have managed to achieve much ahead of time – says Iwona Jarzębska, Chairwoman of the Bank Millennium Foundation.
The next stage of the Our People'24: Save the Planet action is employee eco-volunteering, which will start soon. In this edition of the campaign, Bank Millennium Foundation volunteers will be able to submit their own initiatives to protect the planet. The Bank Millennium Foundation will support implementation of the most valuable ideas with funds that it would not be possible to collect without sports competitions.
