The sporting goal was achieved. Employees of the Bank Millennium Group are starting the next part of the largest sports and volunteering campaign. The Bank Millennium Foundation will allocate PLN 250 thousand for the promotion and implementation of eco-initiatives for the good of the Planet and local communities.

On 20 August the Bank Millennium Foundation announced the launch of a grant programme for employees of Bank Millennium Group. It is an opportunity for each employee to join the group of volunteers by gathering a team and submitting their eco-idea for the protection of the Planet and local communities as part of the Our People'24: Save the Planet eco-volunteering. What counts is creativity, the commitment of volunteers and the positive, thoughtful and long-term impact of eco-action on the protection of the environment and the planet.

Promoting the idea of employee volunteering and protecting the planet are two very important issues for Bank Millennium, which are combined in the new edition of the Bank Millennium Foundation grant program. Employee participation in social initiatives is important for integrating the banking community, supporting cooperation to achieve a common goal and improving employee well-being. Volunteering campaigns so far have met with a very positive reaction and great commitment of employees. Last year, 163 volunteers implemented 26 eco-initiatives in 18 towns. Volunteers carried out, among others: programs for the protection of hedgehogs, integration of the local community around the idea of nature conservation, they cleaned landscape parks, supported the construction of an eco-shop run by a children's hospice, built and run a beehive on the roof of the Bank's headquarters in Wrocław. We are looking forward to this year's initiatives with curiositysaid Iwona Jarzębska, Head of the Millennium Bank Foundation.

In the first sports part of the Our People’24: Save the Planet campaign over 1400 employees of the Bank Millennium Group took part. For 3 months, the employees involved burned a total of 31 million calories, recorded over 18 thousand exercises, covered over 214 thousand kilometres on their feet, and over 317 thousand kilometres on wheels. The assumed goal of the fundraiser was achieved in just 2 months of the challenge, which resulted in the transfer of PLN 250 thousand to the Bank Millennium Foundation by Bank Millennium.
