Opening an account in Bank Millennium in the Internet
Bank Millennium launched the possibility of opening an account entirely online. The process comprises three simple steps and the measures applied provide the highest level of security.
An account in Bank Millennium can now be opened in a fast and convenient way, without having to go to a branch or to send documents by courier service – says Ricardo Campos, Director of the Electronic Banking Department in Bank Millennium. – Instead of signing papers the Customer confirms his desire to open an account by making a transfer from another bank. The new way of opening and activating an account is dedicated to Customers for whom the Internet is the most convenient communication channel – Ricardo Campos adds.
The process of opening an account comprises three steps:
- Fill-in the online application at www.bankmillennium.pl,
- Send a confirming transfer from your former account in another bank to the indicated bank account number,
- The first logging on to the transactional system is done with use of electronically delivered passwords.
If necessary, during the process the Customer may use the help of a virtual assistant or communicate with the Bank's consultants via a chat or Call Centre. Once the above steps are made the account will be fully operational and ready for use both online as well as when visiting a Millennium branch.
The online account opening procedure makes use of features, which provide the highest level of security. Key process features:
- Available to Customers aged over 18 and with a PESEL number, who do not have active products in Bank Millennium.
- To confirm the desire to open the account the Customer will make a transfer of at least PLN 10 (once the procedure has been completed the money will be available on the new account). The Customer's data stated in the application form must be the same as data in the incoming transfer (personal data, residence address) and the transfer must have a specific title. The transfer may be made from another bank in Poland (international or express transfers are not allowed). The account will be activated once data from the Customer's transfer have been confirmed.
- All and any documents and access passwords will be sent only electronically, using various channels (e-mail, text).
- Until authorisation in a Millennium branch the Customer will be unable to get a credit product. Moreover the amount of monthly outgoing transfers (beyond the Customer's accounts) is limited to PLN 5000.
