Previously de minimis guarantees were provided by BGK to secure loans granted for financing of current activity (also renewable). The rules for granting guarantees for these loans have not changed. Extension of the programme is very good for businesses because it will allow them also to take out investment loans. An investment loan may be granted for a tenor of as long as 96 months. The amount of security in the form of the de minimis guarantee is still up to 60% of the loan amount and a maximum of PLN 3.5 million. For Customers' convenience all activities connected involved with getting the loan and the guarantee are performed directly in Bank Millennium, as before. 

Under the de minimis guarantee Bank Millennium offers products tailored to the particular characteristics of the SME sector. The Customer can take one or several products secured with the guarantee, at the same time. The following choices are available:  

• Current account overdraft, where every inflow to the account automatically reduces the amount of debt outstanding,
• Working capital / cash loan – when the business prefers regular loan payments on individually defined dates (e.g. every month),
• Revolving credit, in case of which the customer decides when to repay loan principal, while only interest has to be paid regularly (every month),
• Investment loan, where the repayment schedule is individually defined and the customer himself decides when to start repaying principal (a grace period of two years is possible).

As regards guarantees applied to loans for financing current activity, granted by BGK till the end of 2013, in the first year of the loan the commission is 0%, in the second one 0.5% per annum.
